Tuesday touch rugby is BACK on the 15th May

Following on from our successful Winter Touch Rugby programme held at Soccer City, Leeds, the Leeds Rugby Foundation, in association with the RFL will again be running a summer touch rugby programme.

The programme starts on 15th May 2012 and runs weekly on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer at Abbey Fields.

For all of you that don't know what touch rugby is………
It's a safe, fun, minimal contact, non-collision team sport similar to rugby. There are male, female and mixed teams, its cheap to play and easy to pick up. It was developed as a training tool for Rugby League in the 1970s but is now a sport in its own right.
It's also a great way to get fit and meet new friends. A number of people have jumped on board with the Healthy Lifestyles scheme we offer and have lost loads of weight as well as gaining new levels of fitness. Two of our players have completed the full 18 week scheme and have lost a combined stone in weight!!!
