Tryzone project going from strength to strength as IT classes benefit local families

Tryzone is based in the Learning Centre of Headingley Carnegie

Leeds Rugby Foundation’s Big Lottery funded ‘Tryzone’ project is going from strength to strength with 12 young mums from Headingley Children’s Centre recently attending the first of, what is hoped to be, one of many IT training sessions.

The delegates, the majority of whom attended with their children, completed a session on the Internet and Internet Safety, whilst their children were cared for in the “Pop-Up” crèche created by The Children’s Centre staff in an adjacent classroom.

The mums (and their children) were impressed with the facilities and felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the session knowing their children were close by, being cared for by experienced child minders.

The course received excellent feedback and many of the delegates made suggestions for further training they would like to undertake at TryZone.
