From the Boardroom to the streets of Leeds: Apprentice star taking on Marathon in aid of Foundation

We are delighted to announce that Apprentice Finalist, Rachel Woolford, will be joining Team Rhinos to take on this year’s Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon.

After an exciting 11 weeks, it was revealed last Thursday that Rachel, owner of North Studio, has made it to the final stages of the BBC hit show, with a shot at becoming Alan Sugars’ next business partner.

Business minded from a very young age, Rachel set up her boutique fitness studio during Covid, creating a close knit, strong community despite all the restrictions in place. After the success of the studio in Leeds, she expanded her business, setting up a second branch in Harrogate.

Known for her determination, Rachel has shifted her focus from the boardroom to taking on the second Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, all in the name of charity. Her decision to take on this challenge not only underscores her personal commitment to fitness but also highlights her dedication to giving back to her community.

Rachel’s decision to support the Leeds Rhinos Foundation stems from her belief in the transformative power of sport and community engagement. By participating in the marathon, she aims to raise both awareness and funds to further the foundation’s mission of creating opportunities and changing lives through the power of sport.

The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon holds a special significance for Rachel, as it provides her with a platform to support the work we do throughout her home city.

Rachel added: “Born, raised, educated and now working in Leeds I was all signed up for the 2023 inaugural Rob Burrow CBE Leeds Marathon, a little matter of filming a certain BBC series meant I could not take part!

“So I was delighted when Bob asked me if I would like to join the official Leeds Rhinos Foundation team for this year’s event.

“The Foundation is a great charity doing amazing work in the local community, especially with those people who need the help most. Let’s hope our team raise as much money as possible so that they can have an even greater impact!”

We wish Rachel the best of luck in this week’s final, and look forward to welcoming her to the team!

The final of The Apprentice will be aired on BBC 1 on Thursday 18th April at 9pm.
