Raising Awareness of Bullying, with Anti-Bullying Week 17th Nov – 21st Nov in Leeds

Leeds Rhinos Foundation are joining forces with Leeds City Council to promote Anti-Bullying week and encourage you to get involved!

We know that bullying leads to children missing school, failing exams, dropping out of sport, staying away from extra-curricular activities, and limiting their life choices. It is time that this stopped.

This year's theme shines a light on bullying and we celebrate a week where children and young people, schools, clubs, parents and carers come together with one aim: to stop bullying for all.

Together we can make it clear that we do not accept bullying in our schools, centres, clubs, colleges and teams and create environments where all children can develop their skills and talents.

We take Safeguarding responsibilities seriously here in Leeds and to raise awareness of the issues we're promoting 'Leeds Anti Bullying Week' and encouraging you to 'Get Your School/Club Involved'

There are 2 ways to get your school/club involved:

 – Attend the free anti bullying event at  David Young Academy, Moyes Centre  on Thursday 13th November 2014 from 1.00- 5.00pm where selected Leeds Rhinos first team players will be in attendance

– Ensure you promote good practice in your school, children’s setting or your club to prevent bullying and let us know of any examples of this to showcase your hard work to stop bullying.
