Yorkshire-based, Caddick Construction has today (15 July) pledged its support and £10,000 to the Leeds Rugby Foundation, the charity arm of Leeds Rugby. The charity partnership aims to include 5,000 local children from disadvantaged backgrounds in its ‘Day to Remember’ experience.

The ‘Day to Remember’ experience will offer children from disadvantaged areas of Leeds, a day filled with a number of activities and unique opportunities. As part of the programme every child and parent are invited to attend a Rhinos home game at discounted prices, where they can be part of the match day entertainment and participate in a once in a lifetime activity on the Headingley Carnegie Stadium pitch.

To officially launch the partnership representatives from Caddick Construction and the Leeds Rugby Foundation visited pupils at St Margaret’s school in Horsforth, to raise awareness of the initiative and celebrate the collaboration.

Andrew Murray, managing director at Caddick Construction, said: “Caddick Construction is proud to support the hard work of Leeds Rugby Foundation. The work the charity does is truly commendable and it’s an honour to be involved.

“The Foundation delivers projects in the heart of the community, harnessing the power of sport to make a lasting, positive impact on individuals' lives. The aim of this partnership is to provide opportunities to 5,000 children from primary schools across Leeds, in order to give them a truly exciting, ‘Day to Remember’ and inspire them to become involved in sport.”
