High Schools Development Officer
Leeds Rugby Foundation

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Leeds Rugby Foundation and support the development of High Schools Rugby League in Leeds.  Working alongside existing staff you will manage the growth of High Schools Rugby, delivering key projects which all support the Foundation’s Rugby League Development plan for Leeds.  Increasing the number and quality of participants in High Schools RL is a key part of the role.
 
Reporting to the Rugby League Development Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:
 
• Working alongside our existing High Schools development officer, oversee the development of High Schools Rugby League in Leeds
• Delivery of key projects within High Schools, including competitions and the performance pathway.
• Increase the number of High Schools playing Rugby League in Leeds
• Delivery of curriculum and after school coaching to support the above aims.
• Delivery of Leeds rugby Foundations ‘Day to Remember Scheme’.
• Link all work into local community clubs in Leeds.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION
 
• Current UKCC Level 2 Rugby League Coaching Qualification
• Experience of coaching within High Schools
• Experience of coaching multi skills sessions
• Experience of working with challenging groups outside of mainstream education
• Able to work Flexible Hours as required
• Full valid driver’s license
• Evidence of taking further personal and professional development opportunities
• The successful candidate will have to undertake an enhanced CRB check
 
The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate at all levels, have excellent time management skills and be able to work as an individual and as part of the Leeds Rugby Foundation team.
 
This is a full time role, which will be based at Leeds Rugby Foundation, Leeds Rugby Academy, Bridge Road, Clarence Fields, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3BW and also in the community in the South Leeds area. The salary for the role is dependent on your skills, experience and current qualifications.
