An exciting job opportunity to work for the Leeds Rugby Foundation, as a PROJECT OFFICER part of the Rugby League 3 Year Development Plan has arisen.

Leeds Rugby Foundation (LRF) aims to change lives through sport and this individual will have the opportunity to do just that. They need to be motivated, passionate, a self-starter with fantastic communication skills, and experience of working within Rugby League Development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee delivery of Leeds Rugby Foundation’s (LRF) 2013-14 schools sports offer
• Delivery of all sessions within the above, covering all strands of the offer
• Promotion of the offer and recruitment of new schools
• Work effectively, planning sessions and delivery in a cost effective manner, relating to Rugby League development where possible.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivery of key projects as and when identified by LRF. Projects will be identified by management and delivered by the LRF projects officer
• Create a media release per project / coaching block
• All work to link to community clubs (where possible)
• Supporting LRF holiday camps
• Additional work for the LRF as requested by line manager
• Attendance at all core LRF events
• Update Outlook calendar on a weekly basis and manage own workload effectively.
• Coaching/leading on camps as required during school holidays.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Level 2 Rugby League Coaching Qualification
• Experience of delivering coaching sessions in Primary Schools
• Experience of working with disengaged young people
• Experience of project managing community projects
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle
