Leeds Rugby Foundation would like to congratulate Cardinal Heenan School and South Leeds Academy who have both won the Leeds and Hunslet Schools Plate competitions in their respective ages.
The year 7 students defeated Woodkirk Academy 26-8 in a hard fought game in the final of the plate competition at Leeds Rugby Academy.
Following the year 7 final, the year 10’s took to the Leeds Rhinos training ground which sees stars such as Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrow grace in a daily bases.
This time Woodkirk faced off against South Leeds Academy with the latter coming out on top after a 48-0 win.
Leeds Rhinos legend turned Leeds Rugby Foundation Development Officer commented:
“Well done to all Woodkirk, Cardinal Heenan and South Leeds Academy who all took part. There were some fantastic skills on show in both finals and all players should be proud.
