Kids enjoy active half term on Jet2Holidays Rhinos Dance Camp

The Dancers learned street and cheer dance on the camp

The Jet2Holidays Leeds Rhinos Dance camp has been a big success, with over 30 children spending part of their October Half term break learning new skills on the two day camp.

Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Dance Development Officer, Nicola Booth, led the camp which saw the young dance enthusiasts learn street and cheer dance over the two day camp.  On the second day Ronnie the Rhino made a special guest appearance before the young dancers used all the moves they had learned to perform a specially choreographed routine for their family.

Speaking about the success of the camp Nicola said: “This is the first time we have run a mini Dance Camp during the October half term and we were really pleased with the turn out from both boys and girls.

“We had great fun and there were lots of superstars on the camp who I am sure will go on to do more dancing in the future.  It is great to see so many young people show an interest in dance and want to take this up as a fun and active hobby, whilst also getting the chance to engage with Leeds Rhinos too.”

Due to the success of the mini camp Leeds Rhinos Foundation will also be looking to run a second Half Term Camp in the February holidays.  Keep checking www.leedsrugbyfoundation.org for details.
