Wheelchair Super League post-split fixtures revealed for Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair team

The RFL have announced the post-split fixtures for the Wheelchair Super League, with Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair one of four teams who will fight it out for a place in the Grand Final on Saturday 1st October.

With the top and bottom-half clubs confirmed last weekend, the league’s governing body released the remaining fixtures on Monday afternoon which will see the current top four sides in the table now break off into a round-robin competition.

After facing each other home and away, the sides will then contest a play-offs stage based on their rankings, and the two winners of these games will progress to the Wheelchair Grand Final to decide this year’s champions, live on Sky Sports.

Joining the Rhinos in the top-four tournament will be local rivals and last year’s runners-up Halifax Panthers, newcomers Wigan Warriors and London Roosters, who booked their spot with a superb victory over the Panthers in West Yorkshire on Saturday.

It will be the Roosters who face off next against the Rhinos, visiting James Simpson’s men on June 11th for the side’s final fixture before the 2022 Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final- scheduled two weeks later at Hull’s Allam Sports Arena on Saturday June 25th.

Following that game they will enjoy another Yorkshire derby against Halifax, who ended the Rhinos’ two-year unbeaten run earlier this year having been bolstered by the addition of two French players. It’s then back to Leeds for consecutive home games against Wigan and Halifax in July, before trips to London and Wigan round off the schedule.

Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair will play their home fixtures at Leeds Beckett University’s Sports Arena with entry for all spectators welcome by making a small donation to Leeds Rhinos Foundation- to support the charity with running their Disability Rugby League teams.
