Leeds Rhinos Foundation is delighted to announce Skopes as a new partner of its Rugby League Development Plan, extending the existing partnership with the Leeds Rhinos.
The partnership will be officially launched at the Leeds Rhinos Foundation Fundraising Dinner on Saturday 10th October, with Skopes also becoming the partner of the prestigious John Holmes Memorial Award.
Representatives from Skopes will be in attendance at the dinner to present the award, which recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to grassroots and amateur rugby league in Leeds.
The John Holmes Memorial Award holds a special place within the city’s rugby league community, celebrating the commitment, dedication and values that are key to the success of the grassroots game in the city.
The new partnership will also support the wider work delivered through the Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Rugby League Development Plan, which aims to grow the game across the city by increasing participation, developing players and coaches, creating new opportunities and supporting community clubs.
Head of Partnerships and Development at the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, Dan Busfield, commented on the partnership: “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with Skopes and to welcome them as a partner of our Rugby League Development Plan.

“The John Holmes Memorial Award is a highly respected accolade within the Leeds rugby league community, with the honour having previously been awarded to some of the city’s most dedicated and influential people involved in the game, and it is fantastic to have Skopes alongside us in celebrating those individuals who give back.

The Rugby League Development Plan provides opportunities for players, coaches and community clubs across the city, including player development programmes, coach education and pathways into the wider Leeds Rhinos system.
The partnership with Skopes will further strengthen the Foundation’s work to support the grassroots game, while providing an opportunity to recognise the people at the heart of rugby league in Leeds.
