Tryzone After-School Sessions Are Back For Another Term

The boys are certainly happy Tryzone is back.....

‘We’re back! Tryzone after-school sessions are in full-swing!

Tryzone, based in the purpose built Learning Centre of Headingley Carnegie Stadium, the home of the Leeds Rhinos, is a hugely promising three year programme of education projects with young people and families from all over Leeds ran by Leeds Rugby Foundation.

It is funded by the Big Lottery and works with specific young people and their families who need some extra support in order to make a positive difference to their lives.

And Leeds Rugby Foundation TryZone team are already geared up for another exciting term, with five new schools added to the ever-growing list of schools that want to get involved.

As well as that, Tryzone pupils are returning for their new ‘Next Steps Course’ which are progression courses for pupils who have attended for 12 weeks. These sessions will work specifically on ‘personal development’ and ‘life skills’. They will also look at the pupils health and skill development in more detail.

Such is the demand, Tryzone are now increasing their sessions from three to five!

Stay tuned for further reports of activities at TryZone. Alternatively if you want to get involved or no someone who would benefit from the work of Tryzone please email Nigel.Wood@leedsrugbyfoundation.org.
