Rhinestones Senior’s to Dance at Wembley!

Seven of the Rhinestones senior girls have been selected to perform during half time of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 23rd August between Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers.

The dancers have been working with Phoenix Dance Theatre, and the girls now have a fantastic opportunity to dance on the biggest stage of all through the Rugby League Cares Dance Project which works with dancers from Super League and Championship Dance Academies.

They will be joined by 280 other children taken from Foundations at Hull Kingston Rovers, Wigan Warriors, Featherstone Rovers, St Helens and Warrington Wolves. This will hopefully be the start of many events aided by the grant awarded by the Arts Council.

In preparation for the performance the Rhinestones have been involved with a week of intensive dance rehearsals working with dance practitioners from Phoenix Dance Theatre.

Nicola Booth, Leeds Rhinos Dance Development Officer commented: "The girls have worked super hard, but they have loved every minute of it and are extremely excited about performing at Wembley."
