Local Laundrette benefits rugby clubs in the city!

A local laundrette in Leeds are benefiting local amateur rugby in the city by supporting an East Leeds ARFLC side as well as a Whinmoor Warriors ARLFC age group.

Maria and Jon Cockcroft, the owners of The Wash House on Manston Approach in Crossgates, have agreed to wash the club’s clothes free of charge for a full season.
 
The local company have also bought and donated 50 tickets to each club for their youngsters to go and watch the Rhinos vs St Helens on Friday.

On top of that they have revealed they will wash each community club in Leeds kits FREE for the first wash.
 
The Wash House was officially opened on Thursday morning with Rhinos legend Keith Senior and Ronnie the Rhino present to cut the ribbon.
 
Leeds Rugby Foundation’s Rugby League Development Plan for Leeds sponsored by Mears aims to get youngsters involved in sport from the youngest of ages and this vote of support from a local company is certainly benefitting amateur rugby in the city.
 
Owner, Jon Cockroft commented: “We realise how important it is to look after the local community. If we look after them, they will look after you.
 
“It is important for kids to be involved in sport and we feel our little helping hand can only help them do that. We are big Rhinos fans and it was a pleasure to see Rhinos legend Keith Senior and Ronnie the Rhino come down to officially open our Wash House.”
