Leeds Rugby Foundation play their part in 100 days to go until RLWC2013 in Leeds promotion

Children at the Danny McGuire camp were joined by Keith Senior and Kylie Leuluai to help promote RLWC2013

Leeds Rugby Foundation today played its part as three specially branded RLWC2013 balls were hidden around the city to mark 100 days to this day until reigning world champions New Zealand take on Papua New Guinea at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, as part of Rugby League World Cup 2013.

A representative from Leeds City Council was joined by Councillor Lucinda Yeadon at North Leeds Leapords, the current home of Leeds Rugby Foundation's Danny McGuire Summer Rugby Camp, to hide the three brightly coloured balls around the city.

Ronnie the Rhino was also present alongside Leeds Rugby Foundation's Keith Senior and Leeds Rhinos first team player Kylie Leuluai.

Clues on the whereabouts of these balls will be tweeted throughout the day from @LeedsRLWC, @DannyFrank, @leedsrhinos and @RugbyLeeds using the hashtag #findourballs. Lucky finders of each of the three balls will win tickets to a RLWC2013 match in Leeds.

Councillor Lucinda Yeadon, executive board member responsible for leisure and skills said:

"It's now just 100 days to go until Leeds hosts its first game, and excitement is beginning to mount. We want there to be a lasting legacy for rugby league in Leeds as a result of our role as a host city, and our range of RLWC2013 themed events have been generating great interest and many more activities will continue through the summer and until the tournament ends in November."
