Exciting Opportunity to Join the Foundation Team

An exciting opportunity for a Communications Executive to make a real difference to a Leeds Rugby Foundation and make their mark on how the charity moves forward. This role will be crucial to help the organisation develop awareness across the region and will play a key role the charity’s growth and future.

The role will be full time and will include the following duties:

• Designing and delivering a marketing and communications strategy for the Foundation and projects that the charity delivers
• Managing relationships with external agencies and providing them with briefs for projects
• Delivering a quarterly E-Newletter to the charity’s supporters
• Updating website, twitter and facebook content with engaging material
• Managing external communications 
• Producing relevant Foundation documents and marketing materials
• Supporting the Foundation team in planning of delivery of our projects
• Supporting the planning and delivery of Foundation events
• Produce news articles for website and match day programmes
• Liaising with the Rugby club
• Point of contact for enquiries to the Foundation via telephone calls, emails, post, website enquiries and face-to-face
• Managing the calendar of events for the Foundation
• Managing the Foundation’s contact lists to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate
• General administration duties

Person Specification
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to think creatively 
• Ability to spot and make the most of opportunities to promote the Foundation and its projects
• Excellent writing ability
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals and organisations
• Excellent IT skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases and Outlook
• Excellent organisational skills
• Marketing experience
• Ability to produce articles for a variety of communications
• Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritise and multi task
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Demonstrate an attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to support the variety of work the Foundation does in the community
• Show commitment to the work of the charity
• Available for some limited out of hours working
