Dick Gibson Festival of Rugby League returns this August!

We are pleased to announce that our highly popular Community Club Festival is taking place in August at the Bartercard Leeds Rhinos Training Complex in Kirkstall.

The Annual Dick Gibson Community Club Support Scheme Festival of Rugby League will take place on Sunday 4th August, with the U10s, 11s and 12s mixed teams playing in the morning, followed by the U12, 13s and 14s girls’ teams in the afternoon.

The festivals will be once again supported by Leeds Rhinos, with players from both the Men’s and Women’s first team squads, many of whom represented community clubs in the city throughout their childhood years, coming along to sign autographs and present the players with their awards.

Sam Horner, Community Club Development Officer for Leeds Rhinos Foundation said: “These festivals represent a great celebration of Rugby League and the chance for local teams to get a rare opportunity to play at the Leeds Rhinos Bartercard Training Complex.

“As a foundation, through our Community Club Support Scheme, we are committed to serving and supporting clubs in the city and beyond for the benefit of the game.

“These festivals present another great opportunity for teams and players following on from other opportunities such as indoor touch, half time teams, Rhinos Talent Pathway and the North V South Player Development Series.”
