‘The French Connection’ A Great Success

Our first Headingley Heores - Sally and Jamie Noble and Liz Binks in memory of John Binks

Close to 50 people from local businesses in the Leeds and district area enjoyed a ‘French Connection’ last Friday as they were invited down to a social gathering at Headingley Carnegie Stadium before they were treated to the ‘french flavoured’ Super League encounter between Leeds Rhinos and Perpignan’s Catalan Dragons.

William H Brown Estate Agents, PWC, LS1 Dental and St James’s Place Wealth Management were just a few of the established local businesses that attended the networking session in the Tryzone centre at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Nigel Wood, Education Programme Manager spoke about Tryzone and the work they do within Leeds Rugby Foundation and Derek Stewart from Leeds and Yorkshire Housing Association who is also an existing Headingley Hero, spoke about the benefits of being involved with Leeds Rugby Foundation as well as how it has helped his business.

Kym Hammond, Leeds Rugby Foundation Fundraising Manager who oversaw the evening commented:

“Thank you to everyone who attended Friday’s gathering.

“It is always nice to spend time with our Headingley Heroes and it was great to make new contacts’ with local businesses,” she continued.

“I hope a number will come on board with Leeds Rugby Foundation to help us change more lives through sport.”
