Leeds Rhinos Foundation are inviting everyone who has been touched by Rob Burrow’s story to participate in the Strava Rhino route run on Friday 7th June at 7pm.

The course was put together by local avid runner, John Mcloughlin, to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease and funds for research, care and potential treatments for the MND Association and Leeds Hospitals Charity.

Runners are asked to gather at the main Roundhay Park gates on Prince’s Avenue, assembling between 6:45pm and 6:50pm, with a 7pm start time — a time carefully chosen to reflect the magic of the number 7, forever linked to Rob Burrow and his playing career at the Leeds Rhinos.

On street parking will be available to those taking part, along with numerous Roundhay Park Car Parks.

Participants of all abilities are welcome, with a variety of paces ensuring that everyone can get involved. This event is about community, remembrance, and celebrating Rob’s life. Participation in this event is voluntary, with runners taking part at their own volition and risk.

Runners are encouraged to wear their Rob Burrow Marathon tops, replica jerseys or similar attire, creating a sea of blue and amber as we take to the streets of Leeds.

For those who wish to extend their support beyond this run, donations can be made to the Burrow family support fund by clicking HERE.

We look forward to seeing you all there to celebrate the life of a true Rugby League legend and inspiration to us all.
