Rugby AM promoting the Leeds Rugby Foundation

Rugby AM is a new rugby show hosted by Leeds Rugby Foundation employee Keith Senior and Alex Simmons on Yorkshire Radio on Monday 7-9pm.

This week’s guests were none other than Leeds Rhinos legends Danny McGuire and Jamie Jones-Buchanan who is a trustee of the Leeds Rugby Foundation.

The basis of the show is all about the great game of rugby league and also give the players the opportunity to give their opinion on the games and news in super league. Also there is light hearted banter and serious chat, but the show looks into the private lives and the characters that we see out on the field each week.

Danny is in his testimonial year and on Monday he had the opportunity to promote key events that are coming up like the Danny McGuire 2 day Rugby Skills Camp that is been based at Oulton Raiders this half term which benefits the Leeds Rugby Foundation. Danny spoke openly on how he is keen to inspire the next generation to get involved in sport and improve their rugby skills too.

Jamie spoke about various things from his religious beliefs and also how the Leeds Rugby Foundation can change lives through sport. He spoke about the influences the Foundation has on education, health and sport across Leeds as a city.

Leeds Rhinos Community Development Officer Keith Senior commented “The radio station is new and is giving players and ex-players like me an opportunity to talk about things we are passionate about away from playing. A big part of this week’s show is the impact the Leeds Rugby Foundation is having in the community with in Primary Schools, High Schools, Colleges, Universities and Amateur Clubs.”
