Ronnie the Rhino Christmas Firewalk

Ronnie the Rhino will be undertaking a year of charity challenges starting off with a Firewalk this Christmas! This will raise funds for Leeds Mencap and The Leeds Rugby Foundation and will take place on Monday 19th December at the stadium at 8pm.

You can support in 3 ways!

1 Sponsor Ronnie. Attached is the sponsorship form please fill in and email back to me! Or there is a hard copy in the kitchen at Headingley.

2 Take part in the Firewalk yourself and get sponsored! This is a great opportunity to do something unusual and raise money for 2 great causes. You get a 2 hour motivational and training course 1st! If this isn’t for you but you think you know someone who would like to do it please forward on!

3 Attend the event with your friends and family. We’ll have a fun event starting at 6.30pm with carol singers, a brass band. There will be games for the kids and roasted chestnuts and mulled wine for the adults! You then get to watch Ronnie and all his other volunteers walking over hot coals!

Here are some testimonials from people who have taken part in the past:

“The experience I had last night was virtually life changing. The look in my son's eyes after he saw me walking on fire is one I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank You!!”

“I have just completed the most fantastic event in my life. I never thought it was real, or that I could do it. But the BLAZE team are amazing and we managed to raise a total of £3,000 for the young people. But we are so looking forward to having the team back to do the Glass Walk and do some work with the young people. What can I say – everyone should do it. Cheers guys you were great!!!”

“Unbelievably fantastic. I firewalked last night with my colleague Kay at Pitchers bar in Derry for N.I. Children's Hospice and we had an amazing time. Afterwards we were totally buzzing with adrenaline. I'd definitely do it again. Thanks to Tony for getting us all psyched up!”

“What a fantastic experience! I went from petrified to confident in less than 2 hours – and just loved doing the fire walk. I've taken so much from the experience and now feel capable of anything!”
