The countdown is on for Leeds Rhinos Netball’s huge Vitality Netball Superleague game at the first direct Arena in Leeds on Sunday 6th March against Wasps Netball, with first centre pass at 4pm.
The game will be a massive occasion for netball in Yorkshire with a huge crowd expected for this showpiece event taking place at the spectacular arena in the centre of Leeds.
Superleague Netball returns to Leeds for the first time since 2016 and for the first time will be played at the biggest indoor venue in the city. Around the arena, there will be free entertainment including live music, buskers, giveaways, facepainters and even dinosaurs!
This year, Leeds Rhinos Netball are playing their home matches around Yorkshire and played their first ever home game at Sheffield’s EIS Arena against Team Bath. They will play a further two game in Sheffield and four games at Hull’s Allam Sports Centre and two at the first direct Arena.
Wing attack Brie Grierson, who was born in Leeds says she can’t wait to play back in the city: “I think it’s amazing that we are playing around Yorkshire, but I am obviously a bit biased and I am super exited for the Leeds games being from the city. I think it is incredible to think about playing in the first direct Arena and I can’t stop telling people, so I hope it is full of our fans making lots of noise.
“I have been at a few teams all around the country and nothing beats a Yorkshire crowd. They just get so involved, you can hear them constantly and I think it will make a massive difference for our game and I think a lot of the girls will be shocked at how great the support will be.”
Tickets for the match are priced at £15 for adults/senior citizens and £10 for students and juniors (16 and under). Group bookings of 10 or more tickets receive a 15% group discount on total amount purchased. Seating is reserved for the game and purchasers will be able to choose their seat(s) beforehand.
