Rhinos head coach Brian McDermott to deliver Offensive Skills Coach Education Workshop

Leeds Rhinos Foundation will support the coach education side of the project

On Monday the 4th of August, from 6.45pm until 8.15pm, Leeds Rhinos head coach Brian McDermott returns to the home of Leeds Rhinos Training Ground for his programme of Coaching Master Classes.

After delivering coach education on the road in local community clubs, Brian will deliver a coaching workshop at Leeds Rugby Academy, Bridge Road, Kirkstall, LS5 3BW as part of his continued support of Leeds Rugby Foundation’s Coach Education which aims to provide a better quality of coaching within the community game.

Coach Education is a project under Leeds Rugby Foundation’s Rugby League Development Plan for Leeds, sponsored by Mears, which aims to get more youngsters playing and supporting the game of rugby league.

The theme will be Offensive Principles and all coaches, who coach U12 age-groups and upwards, are welcome to come and observe Brian coaching an Under 16s community club youth team and take questions on the subject. 

The session will run as follows:

7.00pm   –     Workshop Start
                
              –     Observe Brian Coaching a Community Club Youth
                    Team on Offensive Plays & Principles
             
              –    Coaching Through Games.
 
              –    Q&A with Brian McDermott
 
 
8.15pm Finish
