Puma agree new partnership to become footwear supplier for Leeds Rhinos teams

As Leeds Rhinos kick off the new Rugby League season this weekend live on Channel 4, they will do so in style thanks to a new partnership with global sportswear brand PUMA, who have become the club’s official footwear supplier.

The partnership will benefit all teams at the club with members of the Rhinos mens, womens, wheelchair, physical disability and learning disability teams wearing PUMA footwear this season. Leeds Rhinos Netball will start their season this weekend with the team also wearing the PUMA range.

Team sport is grounded in PUMA’s heritage. Since 1948 they have been creating game-changing moments in sport, becoming an important teammate to legendary athletes and teams.

Since PUMA’s founding days, they have collaborated with the world’s most iconic players and teams, cementing their place in the history of the game, striving to inspire and innovate, achieving new levels by understanding players needs and preparing them for a ground breaking performance.

Leeds Rhinos mens stars like new signing Aidan Sezer, England stars Harry Newman and Mikolaj Oledzki will all wear PUMA boots this season along with try scoring sensation Caitlin Beevers for Leeds Women and England, whilst Tom Halliwell and James Simpson from the Foundation’s all-conquering Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair team will wear footwear from the PUMA range.

Leeds Rhinos Commercial Director Rob Oates commented, “We are delighted to work with PUMA here in the UK to supply our athletes with the best possible footwear ahead of the new season. The wonderful thing about this partnership is that is goes right across the club including our academy development programme.”
