The Leeds Rhinos Foundation are asking fans to ‘Play their Part’ and fundraise for one of Run with the Rhinos series races to support the work of the Leeds Rhinos’ official charity in 2016
The Run with the Rhinos race package is bigger than ever 2016 with charity places available for seven races over four distances, including some of Yorkshire’s most popular road and trail running events.
Runners have their choice of races this year, starting with the PlusNet Leeds Half Marathon on 8th May, followed by the Asda Foundation Leeds and York 10k and Urban Trail Runner events through June, July and August and finishing with the PlusNet Yorkshire Marathon on the 9th October.
The Leeds Rhinos Foundation have a number of charity places available with some exciting fundraising packages to give runners the perfect opportunity to tackle their personal fitness goals and enjoy participating in some of Yorkshire’s best charity running events, while supporting two local charities.
Runners who choose to fundraise with a charity place as part of our Run with the Rhinos team will support the Leeds Rhinos 10-year-old official charity the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and the many community projects in the Leeds working with primary and secondary schools, community Rugby League clubs and local organisations to change lives through sport.
Established in 2005 with the purpose of using the power of sports and particularly rugby league to change the lives of children, young people and their families, the Leeds Rhinos Foundation has grown to become one of the most pioneering sports charities in the UK, winning multiple awards for ground-breaking sports, health, community and education delivery across the region.
Whilst the Leeds Rhinos Foundation is linked to the Leeds Rhinos, the charity is structurally and financially independent of the rugby club and is responsible for fundraising almost one million pounds every year to continue to run life changing programmes across the West Yorkshire region.
Again for 2016, the Leeds Rhinos Foundation are working with partner charity the Jane Tomlinson Appeal for the Asda Foundation Leeds 10k. The much loved charity has raised over £7 million pounds in support of children and cancer charities across the country, including Leeds General Infirmary and St Gemma's Hospice.

There will be a special prize awarded to the highest fundraiser of the year, however many races they do.
The new 'Play Your Part' campaign designed by Brass agency was launched in January by the Leeds Rhinos, offering fans the chance to star in a photo shoot for the new season alongside first team players Danny McGuire, Kallum Watkins, Adam Cuthbertson and Keith Galloway. The campaign has already featured this season and will be featured in some of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation's event launches over the coming months.
