Over 100 Players Attend Action Packed Rob Burrow Rugby Camp

Rob Burrow Rugby Skills Camp

The 2 day rugby skills camp was a huge success with over 100 young players attending both boys and girls. Although the weather was not on our side the spirit of the Rob Burrow Skills camp was high!

The camp was led by Leeds Rugby Foundation however it was the special skills clinics lead by Rob Burrow that was the highlight of the children’s days. The young players had a great opportunity to rub shoulders with Rob on camp as he passed on his knowledge and advice. The experience for the children was made extra special when Ryan Hall, Ben Jones Bishop and Carl Ablett all attended and helped out with training and signed memorabilia.

Leeds Rhinos Community Manager, Jonny Wainhouse commented, “A huge thank you to Oulton ARLFC for allowing us to use their fantastic facilities, everyone on camp has been outstanding from the kids to the coaches. The weather has not made things easy but smiles still remained on everyone’s faces which is always great to see”.

Rugby Skills camps are for children aged 6-14 that are interested in playing rugby and want to enjoy playing and enhancing their rugby skills. Danny McGuire will now take over the camp duties as he leads four camps throughout the summer at Oulton, East Leeds, Stanningley and Wetherby Bulldogs.
