‘Mini Rhino Activity Sessions’ To Start This Weekend

Leeds Rhinos players enjoy summer fun at a camp last season

Leeds Rugby Foundation will launch their first ever Leeds Rhinos ‘Mini Rhino Activity Sessions’ for children aged 4-7 this weekend meaning parents must act NOW to secure their child’s place on these unique sessions.

As part of the Rugby League 3 Year Development Plan, Leeds Rugby Foundation believe it is vital to start the process of engaging youngsters in sport and activity as early as possible with the hope that they will continue to participate in the future, with a selective few reaching even greater heights.

The aim of this exciting new project is to engage with children aged 4-7 across the North Leeds and North Yorkshire area through Rugby League. The sessions will be fun and interactive for the children with activities and games held which will help develop the child's fundamental movement skills.

There will be three blocks of sessions, starting this coming Saturday 20th July, priced at £40 for 6 sessions or parents can bring their children along and pay £5 per session.

Each child will not only receive high quality, fun coaching with Leeds Rhinos professional coaches, but they will also walk away with a t-shirt, goodie bag and a free Leeds Rhinos match ticket (full block sessions only).

If your child is a Rhinos’ junior season ticket holder they will able to attend these sessions for FREE (please bring your season ticket on the day).

Leeds Rugby Foundation North Leeds and North Yorkshire Development Officer, Nick Settle commented: "These sessions are designed for children to have fun and learn through multi-skill based games.

"The activities and games during the sessions will help develop the child's fundamental movement skills. We hope these sessions will inspire a new generation of sporting stars, but parents are advised to book their child on Mini Rhinos now before it is too late. "
