LRF TV: Ambassador Festival less than three weeks away!

Last year saw over 5000 people attend!

Leeds Rugby Foundation’s fourth Ambassador Festival of Rugby, sponsored by Leeds 17 and the family of Dick Gibson is fast approaching and excitement is building ahead of the 31st August date.

This year’s event which was founded by the local community rugby club’s is set to be bigger and better than ever before with 57 amateur teams currently set to take part in a huge festival at Leeds Rugby Academy – the home of Leeds Rhinos.

As well as the festival for youngsters, a Master’s game will take place for over 35’s. On top of the action, Foundation partners Pims Ltd will again supply their hugely popular skills zone for the event which gives the young and old the chance to hone their rugby passing, tackling and kicking skills.

Food will be on offer thanks to event’s sponsor, Leeds 17 and XBlades will bring some of their famous boots and other merchandise along. Partners ISC will also be there with their unique gear!

Members of the Leeds Rhinos squad will also be in attendance to sign any autographs required and everyone’s favourite mascot One Ronnie the Rhino will entertain the kids.

One of the feature events during the day will be a smash-hit performance from the stars of RugbyAm – the hottest new rugby TV show hosted by Alex Simmons. Rhinos legend, turned Foundation Development Officer Keith Senior will also take his regular seat as the guys put on a LIVE show for the watching public, including interviewing Rhinos players and kids as well as presenting trophies to all the teams.

This year’s Ambassador Festival of Rugby is set to be the biggest yet. Doors open at 10am and will close at approximately 4pm. The cost of entry is just 50p – don’t miss it!
