This year’s Rhinos Challenge is less than 4 months away and already it has surpassed last years number of entrants. However, Leeds Rugby Foundation (LRF) are still hoping to add more teams to those already involved – so come and join the fun!
The Rhinos Challenge is a professionally organised 9's festival, that brings U8s – U14s teams from all over the UK together for a fantastic tour experience. Every aspect of the game is upheld to the highest standards and the festival is run in accordance with RFL regulations and guidelines.
After a hugely successful event in 2013, the Rhinos Challenge will be making its way back to Butlins' award winning resort in Skegness from Friday 16th to Monday 19th May 2014; with festival matches being played on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May.
ESF Events and Leeds Rhinos specifically selected Butlins' resort in Skegness to host the second Rhinos Challenge as it offers a secure environment, a fantastic range of leisure facilities, superb evening entertainment packages and quality accommodation. This means that however your team performs on the pitch you're sure to have an amazing team experience across the weekend.
The event will finish with a celebrity presentation ceremony that in 2013 included Leeds Rhinos' players old and new in the form of Keith Senior, Ben Jones-Bishop and Stevie Ward. Without forgetting Ronnie the Rhino, who was also there to help out with the awards ceremony.
Keith Senior is set to attend the event again this year and commented: “Last year's Rhinos Challenge was a fantastic experience for all involved. The fact that we have already surpassed last year's numbers and are still looking to add more teams shows just how successful it was. I am really looking forward to this year's Rhinos Challenge as it promises to be another brilliant event.”
