Places in this year’s Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon with Leeds Rugby Foundation (LRF) and Leeds Rhinos are now sold out, but all is not lost as LRF are looking for runners to take part in another exciting challenge which will be revealed next week!
As the official charity of Leeds Rugby, LRF had previously secured 13 unique places in the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon which sees runners matched with a Leeds Rhinos star as well as have the chance to run in such a prestigious event. But unfortunately those places were taken up by keen runners in record time!
However, leading up to any race, there are always withdrawals, so LRF will therefore still accept entries to be a ‘Rhinos Reserve’.
LRF Director of Operations, Bob Bowman commented: “We at Leeds Rugby Foundation were overwhelmed by the amount of fans who wanted to help us change lives through sport and run in the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon. Congratulations to everyone who were lucky enough to grab a place on the team, but all is not lost for those who didn’t as we have another opportunity to ‘Run with the Rhinos’ that will be revealed next week!”
