Local Community Clubs To Come Together For Ambassador Festival of Rugby This Sunday

Leeds Rugby Foundation will host their third Ambassador Festival Of Rugby this Sunday at Leeds Rugby Academy, Kirkstall, which will see 40 teams from 18 community clubs from across Leeds attend in what will be the biggest Junior Rugby League Festival in England.

This years’ event which is sponsored by Leeds 17 and the family of Dick Gibson, will host a 7-11 year-old tournament on the Leeds Rhinos training pitches as well as an over 35’s Masters Rugby League  tournament.

There is not just rugby on show though as there will be a host of stalls, games and raffles for everyone to enjoy and food and refreshments too.

The Rugby League World Cup trophy will also be in attendance as will local Leeds Councillor Yeadon and a number of Leeds Rhinos first team players will support the event too.

Sunday’s event which runs from 10am-4pm will see the real power of community clubs come together with approximately 2,000 people of all ages attending what is sure to be a great day.
