The deadline for schools to sign up to the Leeds Rugby Foundation Yorkshire Schools Tag Rugby Festival, in association with the current Super League champions Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie is just days away.
The festival will run on Friday 5th July 2013 from 9.00am till 3.00pm at West Park Leeds RUFC, The Sycamores, Bramhope, Leeds, LS16 9JR.
There has already been a massive interest as the festival embarks on its fifth year and with the day culminating with around 100 primary schools from all over the Yorkshire region competing it is set to be a great event.
The highly popular festival will include the following:
• Tag rugby display
• Meet Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie first team players
• A chance to meet Ronnie the Rhino and Terry the Tyke
• Have your picture taken with the Super League trophy
• Prizes and give-aways
Each team should consist of 10 players in years 5 and 6, with a minimum of 3 girls playing at all times.
To take part in the event this year we ask that a £10 pound donation is made to Leeds Rugby Foundation prior to the day itself, to cover the cost of running the festival. Cheques can be made to Leeds Rugby Foundation and sent c/o Adam Blades, Leeds Rugby Academy, Bridge Road, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3BW. If your school is part of the Leeds Schools sport association then this is being funded by them so no cheque will need to be sent.
