Leeds Rugby Foundation Volunteer Recruitment Evening a great success

Leeds Rugby Foundation would like to pay a huge thanks to everyone who turned up to the first ever Volunteer Recruitment Evening held last night at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

The event was a huge success as many faces, both old and young came along to forge their support for the Leeds Rugby Foundation.

Leeds Rhinos star Zak Hardaker was also present at the evening as was Deputy Chairman Bob Bowman who interviewed both Zak and the staff at the Foundation, before the willing volunteers expressed why they would like to help change lives with the Leeds Rugby Foundation.

Lucy Owen, Chief Executive of the Leeds Rugby Foundation commented on the success of the evening: “It was great to see so many faces at the event last night.

“I would like to personally thank all the fantastic people who turned out with the aim of volunteering for the Leeds Rugby Foundation.

“Volunteers are crucial to allow us to deliver our projects and volunteering can be hugely rewarding for the individuals as well. We want all our chosen volunteers to enjoy being part of this very special team whilst making a real difference in their local community."
