Great Effort From All ‘Run With Rhinos’ Team In Sunday’s Leeds 10K

Over 80 runners represented the Leeds Rugby Foundation in the ‘Run with the Rhinos’ team that braved the heat-wave to complete the Run For All Leeds 10k on Sunday.

Leeds Rhinos legends Keith Senior and Barrie McDermott were two of the 83 ‘Run with the Rhinos’ members that joined the 7,039 other competitors to support the Asda Foundation-sponsored event in memory of Jane Tomlinson.

This year there was a new course, which took competitors from Vicar Lane through the city centre, along Kirkstall Road and back.

Leeds Rugby Foundation’s Keith Senior who completed the race in a respectable PB of 51:33 commented on the day:

“Despite the change of course, it was very tough in the heat. Nonetheless it was for a great cause and the atmosphere along with the vast number of people that turned out contributed to a great day.

“Thanks to everyone who has sponsored both myself, Barrie (McDermott) and Leeds Rugby Foundation. Stay tuned for the next challenge that will be announced in the coming weeks!”

If you want to show your appreciation to both Barrie, Keith and the 81 other Run with the Rhinos runners you can still donate by texting RWTR13 plus your amount £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 and send it to 70070.

All proceeds raised will allow Leeds Rugby Foundation to change even more lives through sport.
