Day 4 of the Jane Tomlinson Challenge completed

Day 4 of the epic Jane Tomlinson challenge is now completed with this leg finishing at the Home of the World Champions the Leeds Rhinos and the Leeds Carnegie stadium.

The challenge started off in Hull this morning after the team took the overnight ferry from Belgium.

The day started off well with no sign of rain which sadly soon changed. The route had to be changed due to the appalling weather and sadly the team had to bypass York.

Heres a message that Greg sent while a few hours away from the finish: "Quick stop to shelter briefly from the torrential rain, it's been horrible. This is seriously tough, all soaked to the skin, feet and hands are numb. Just want to get to Leeds but a few hours yet. Toughest day so far by a long way. Please keep the money coming in!"

The route was made so much harder by the winds and driving rain but the team made it to Headingley Carnegie stadium at about 4.30pm to be greated by a nice crowd of family, friends, Stadium staff and the press. Of course no home coming would have been complete without having Ronnie Rhino there.

The team were taken into the Carnegie cafe where tea and coffee had been laid on for the weiry cyclists the also had the Leeds Rhinos physio on had to tend to the tired muscles.

Day 5 begins tomorrow in whats sadly looking like the same sort of weather.
