Children’s Day Thousands Attended

Rugby Teams enjoying Children's Day

Leeds Rugby Foundation wish to thank the thousands of people who attended the very successful Children’s Day held at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

We were blessed with great weather and a fantastic turnout on Sunday 22 July.  Families from around the area were given the opportunity to be coached by the players, watch Emmerdale vs Rhinos, traditional sports day games for children – all for free.

Other activities included Celebrity Chef Brian Turner CBE cook off, bouncy castle, face painting, wheelchair rugby, pony trekking, netball, cricket, maritial arts, West Yorkshire Fire Service and West Yorkshire Police.

All monies raised by 96.3 Radio Aire and Magic 828's Cash for Kids will help to provide the valuable services that Leeds Rugby Foundation, Yorkshire County Cricket Foundation,  Martin House Children's Hospice and Garry Chappelow Memorial Fund deliver in the local community.
