It’s half-term already and LRF TryZone team are all reflecting on what’s been a brilliant 6 weeks.
Nigel Wood and his team, who are based at the purpose-built Learning Centre at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, are currently work with pupils from 8 different schools through the TryZone after-school programme and it is achieving some amazing results with some inspirational young people.
Pupils have had the opportunity to visit and participate in fitness activities at the Leeds Rhinos training ground, complete work around personal identity, produced art work, taken part in physical/science based team-challenges, taken part in yoga sessions, performed some drama/ role-plays and many many more.
This is all ahead of this current half-term which will include TryZone hosting a very special parents week, theatre visits with some very special guests!
After Christmas, TryZone will be working with pupils from new schools and spreading the opportunity to learn and develop skills at the home of Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie!
