World Champions set for hair raising Sport Relief Challenge

The newly crowned Rugby League World Champions, Leeds Rhinos, are putting their heads on the line for Sport Relief ahead of their massive Grand Final rematch at St Helens on Sunday 25th March.

The entire squad and coaching staff have committed to either shave their head or dye their hair red if supporters pledge at least £5,000 in total to Sport Relief via a specially created fundraising web page.

Commenting on the challenge, skipper Kevin Sinfield said, "There are quite a few of the lads who are very keen on their hair so this is a very serious challenge for us! Sport Relief is a fantastic cause and a way for everyone involved in sport in this country to raise funds for brilliant projects here and overseas. I am sure the supporters will get behind the fundraising effort and if we can raise at least £5,000 the players will be happy to do their bit for Sport Relief."

Fans can pledge their support at www.justgiving.com/sportreliefrhinos

All the money raised by the public for Sport Relief will be spent helping people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries
