As Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos prepare for their clash today, the girls from three year groups at Settle Middle School in North Yorkshire will be taking part in their own War of the Roses against girls teams from Wigan.
Years 7,8,9 and 10 girls will play against each other in the hope to be crowned Champions! The fixtures will take place at St Cuthberts A.R.L.F.C followed by a pitch parade at the DW Stadium.
Sian Hills, Women and Girls Development officer comments: ”Let’s hope for a fantastic display of 9 aside contact rugby and returning home with the trophy and the bragging rights. It’s a great opportunity for the girls to test themselves against some tough competition."
