Walk With Ronnie Drawing Ever Closer

Join Ronnie this Summer

Ronne the Rhino will grace his presence at Oulton Raiders in less than one month, so time is running out to join everyone’s favourite mascot in this fun-filled 1 mile walk!

On Sunday 4th August Ronnie the Rhino will strolls across Leeds, but he needs you to join him as he aims to spread the word of Leeds Rugby Foundation.

Last year young Rhinos fan Megan Rodd, self-organised a walk to raise money for the Rhinos official charity – Leeds Rugby Foundation and was recently rewarded with an appearance in the Dewsbury Reporter. Megan is now planning to climb Ben Nevis and as part of her training, climbed up Pen-y-Ghent last week in just one and a half hours!

Inspired by Megan's fantastic fundraising efforts, the Leeds Rugby Foundation have organised the first ever Walk with Ronnie for all their junior supporters to get involved in this summer.

All children who take part in this year's event will get a chance to meet the one and only Ronnie the Rhino and will receive an exclusive Walk with Ronnie T-shirt and goodie bag.

The approximately 1 mile walk, will start at Oulton Raiders RLFC at 1pm and finish at approximately 3pm. There will be a bouncy castle, barbeque and the club house and bar will be open. As well as this, all children who participate and raise over £50 and all families that raise over £100 will get the chance to be a player mascot at the Rhinos Festive Challenge game.

Registration costs £5 per child and £10 per family ticket (3 child places). All children must be accompanied by an adult during the walk. When you register to take part you must agree to try and raise a minimum target of £15 per child or £30 per family.
