Leeds Rugby Foundation Trustee, Zandra Moore, and over 100 Business people in Leeds sleep rough to raise money for Homeless Charity Simon on The Streets.
Simon on the Streets is a charity that offers street-based support for those who are homeless or those who are at risk of being homeless and those with behavioural and mental health issues and maybe struggling with addiction. The team work across Leeds, Huddersfield and Bradford to provide both practical support and emotional support for those who may need it.
On September 29th, Simon on the Streets are holding a sponsored sleep out. During the night those taking part are given a homeless tour of the city and walk to a sleeping site to receive hot soup and a roll before being given a demonstration on how to build a bed. They then bed down for the night until 6:30am.
Leeds Rugby Foundation Trustee and Rough Sleeper, Zandra Moore said, “The work Simon on the Streets does to support the homeless in Leeds is vital, Leeds Rugby Foundation are keen to support programmes around the city and as Trustee I consider it a real honor to take part, everyone involved is passionate about making Leeds a safe and supportive community for everyone”
