Sam Horner Inducted into RFL Roll of Honour

The Rugby Football League (RFL) Roll of Honour has welcomed Sam Horner into its prestigious ranks, recognising his extraordinary contributions to the sport both on and off the field.

The Roll of Honour celebrates individuals whose commitment and achievements have left a lasting mark on Rugby League, spanning roles as players, coaches, broadcasters, journalists and volunteers.

Horner, a dedicated Rugby League Development Officer at the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, has significantly influenced the game in Leeds.

His efforts include running coaching courses, leading mental health workshops, engaging with community clubs and so much more. Whether organising activities or entertaining fans with pitch-length runs alongside Ronnie the Rhino, his impact is felt across the city’s Rugby League community as a known face amongst the sport.

Leeds Rhinos Foundation CEO, Bob Bowman, commented: “Everyone connected with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation is immensely proud of this honour for Sam, it is so richly deserved.

“Sam is quite simply a wonderful human being! This accolade is well deserved recognition for Sam’s involvement in the sport he loves so much, and he has touched so many lives so positively.
