Fancy being coached by professional coaches and have the chance to meet Barrie McDermott on a five-day Rugby Union Camp this summer at a top class location?
Join Leeds Rugby Foundation at Barnard Castle School in the beautiful setting of County Durham for a five day residential camp.
The camp, aimed at passionate and ambitious Rugby Union boys aged between 13 and 17, will receive professional coaching from Newcastle Falcons coaches and players as well as Leeds Rugby Foundation coaching staff.
The 5 day Camp is designed to aid and improve the skills of those already playing the game and give participants a flavour of the elite rugby player routine.
As well as 20 hours of top quality rugby coaching by professional coaches, attendees will also get the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed programme of evening activities including swimming, touch rugby and tennis. All transport, meals and accommodation are included. All participants will also receive branded rugby gear.
The highly popular and unique camp will run from Monday 5th- Friday 9th August and this is the fourth time the camp has been held at the impressive facilities of Barnard Castle School.
A number of players who have attended the Barnard Castle Camp in the past have gone on to take the step into the Leeds Carnegie Academy system.
But this year’s residential camp is predicted to be better than ever with the news that Rugby legend and Leeds Rhinos Head of Youth Performance, Barrie McDermott will join the camp for two days.
Leeds Carnegie Community Manager Adam Blades commented: “This year’s residential camp is definitely one not to be missed.
“As always we aim to ensure that the young players are getting value for money and a unique experience by giving them access to top class coaching from both Leeds Carnegie and Newcastle Falcons players,” he continued.
“This year we have added a different strand to the camp with the confirmation that Barrie McDermott, will be attending the camp for two days out of the five.
“With the success of the Leeds Rhinos Academy and the influx of academy players representing the Rhinos first team this year, Barrie will add a great deal of experience and knowledge to the camp and pass on coaching tips from a different angle.
“The visit by Barrie will also allow him to see what talent lies within the Rugby Union circles of Yorkshire.”
The price for the 5 day course is just £295 per attendee, but places are filling fast so interested parties are urged to book now.
