Ronnie the Rhino supports Fundraiser for Wheatfields Hospice

Ronnie the Rhinos enjoyed the lunchtime fundraising event at Wellington Place

Ronnie the Rhino made a special guest appearance at a Christmas lights switch on with a difference held at Wellington Place.

The lunchtime event which was enjoyed by both city centre residents and Wellington Place occupiers, featured boutique ‘pop-up’ stalls selling usual gifts and treats from Yorkshire suppliers.
 
Tasty festive street food was provided by the team at Sociable Folk Café along with spiced mulled wine and warming hot chocolate.
 
Donations from the event were made to Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.
Dominique Simcox, marketing manager for Wellington Place, said: “Sue Ryder is a fantastic charity supporting those living with, or affected by, a serious illness, and we were delighted to be supporting the Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.
 
“Thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas light switch on, it was great to see our community and other visitors come together at Wellington Place to enjoy some festive cheer.”
