Ronnie the Rhino stars in new healthy lifestyle campaign

Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Leeds Public Health have partnered to produce some educational resources for children to encourage and show them ways to live a healthy lifestyle.

The campaign features the much loved Leeds Rhinos mascot Ronnie the Rhino along with some top tips on staying active and keeping both mentally and physically healthy.

Amy Livingtsone, Health Improvement Officer at Leeds Rhinos Foundation said: “These are really challenging times for everyone and it is important that we all look out for each other and also take time to keep ourselves healthy.  Having a balanced diet is key to that, but also incorporating exercise into our days as much as we can as well as keeping our mind healthy is just as important.

“We have worked with Leeds Public Health for a number of years on a variety of projects, including our very successful men’s health project Try Club, so we are pleased to be able to support them with this campaign and getting positive messages out there.

“Whenever we welcome Ronnie along to one of events it’s clear to see how much he is loved by the children, so who better to help support the campaign. Along with the top tips we also have some worksheets which children can do at home to keep them mindful and positive and also to track their activities during these unprecedented times.”
