Rob Burrow documentary to air on Tuesday night

Rob Burrow: My Year with MND will air on Tuesday 13th October on BBC Two at 7pm.

The documentary was due to be broadcast on Monday night, but has been delayed 24 hours because of the Government announcement made on Monday and to enable as many viewers as possible to watch this important documentary.

This moving documentary follows Rob Burrow as he shows the same spirit in his fight against motor neurone disease as the one which made him a hugely-admired rugby league star.

His family and friends – including former team-mates Kevin Sinfield and Barrie McDermott – also give their insight into this remarkable man and how they are supporting his fight. Burrow was prompted to raise awareness for research into the condition, including regular appearances on BBC Breakfast, after a meeting with former Scotland rugby union legend and fellow motor neurone disease sufferer Doddie Weir.

You can also watch the documentary on BBC One on Saturday 17th October at 1:15pm in the build up to the Coral Challenge Cup Final, or on the BBC iPlayer from Tuesday night.
