Saturday evening saw the Leeds Rhinos bag their 9th win of the season, confirming their place in the upcoming Grand Final for the fifth year running.
The Semi Final didn’t get off to the easiest of starts for the Rhinos, with Wigan Warriors putting two tries past the team through Adam Rigby and Nathan Roberts, before a whole team effort sent Nathan Mullhall over for their first of the game.
At the half time break, it was Leeds who took the lead 32 points to 12, thanks to an 8 point penalty try, but Wigan came back with a fight, closing the gap to just two points within the last 20 minutes of the game.
Four tries from Josh Butler, two from Nathan Mullhall, and a hat-trick by Nathan Collins, combined with a flawless kicking score, secured victory for the Rhinos, eliminating last year’s champions.
The Rhinos will now head to the Allam Sports Centre, Hull on Sunday 13th October, where they will face the Halifax Panthers, Kick off 5:30pm.
Spectators are encouraged to come and show their support, as the Rhinos look to bring home to silverware.
