Schools in Leeds will be available to benefit from Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s new Rhinos Reading project with bulk discounts and a new assembly now on offer from Leeds Rhinos’ official charity
‘Rhinos Reading’ which launched in May with the first title in the new series ‘Ronnie Gives Rugby a Try’ is a project aimed at improving children’s literacy while introducing them to the game of Rugby League.
Using the appeal of club mascot Ronnie the Rhino, the new title is aimed at the Key Stage 1 reading level telling the story of how Ronnie got involved in rugby.
As part of the project’s aims to encourage more children in the city to enjoy reading, the book which is now on general sale via the Leeds Rhinos club shop and online, will also be available to schools in Leeds as part of two discounted offers.
Schools will be able to purchase the books by bulk order with discounts of 10% and 25% available based on number of books ordered.
Through the Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s School Sports Offer, schools can also sign up for ‘Read with the Rhinos’ assembly which focuses on the importance of literacy and encourages children to read in a fun and engaging way.
The assembly offer delivered by Leeds Rhinos Foundation staff also includes 10 copies of the book for the school all for the price of £100.
