Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Rhinestones Dance Academy begin again next week at three locations across Leeds for girls aged 5 to 16+.
New dancers can have their first lesson for free as an introduction to the academy and can then join the weekly classes.
The Rhinestones Dance Academy has now been running for nine years and in that time has seen hundreds of aspiring dancers attend their classes, some of whom have gone on to dance in the Heart Yorkshire Dance team who perform at every Leeds Rhinos home game.
The aim of the Rhinestones has always been to give everyone the opportunity to access great dance classes at an affordable price, offering cheer, street and break dance training.
Nicola Booth, dance development officer at Leeds Rhinos Foundation said: "It's great to have the academy back for another year and we want to encourage more young people to start dancing with us because it has so many benefits.
“The support of Leeds Loft Conversions is fantastic because we are able to offer children a free class so they can have a taster of a Rhinestones session first. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to run the class at Wetherby this year but we are looking to introduce a new class for younger dancers in the near future.
"Last year was outstanding for the Academy – they got to perform at events across Leeds and at Rhinos matches and our annual show, so we are thrilled to be offering our dancers more opportunities to perform. The dancers in our Rhinestones Elite Academy also did amazingly well in the competitions they entered and we see this going from strength to strength. We are hoping more dancers join us this year and we can enjoy another successful year."
