PDRL side look to retain title in Saturday’s Finals Day

Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s PDRL side are preparing for this weekend’s Finals Day this Saturday 30th September at Sheffield Hallam University and hoping to retain the trophy they won in 2022.

First up for the Rhinos will be a semi-final clash with Warrington, who currently sit second place in the league table. The winner of this match will then proceed to the Grand Final against either Wakefield, Wigan or Castleford.

This year has been a successful one for our Rhinos PDRL side, who have lost only three games out of the 11, winning five out of their last six. The team finished the campaign sitting third place in the league table with 22 points, ahead of this weekend’s finals.

It has also been a successful year for the team in terms of recruitment with more players than ever joining the Rhinos’ side. Currently, the team also has the most international players representing their countries.

This year has also seen the launch of our Junior PDRL side, coached by some of the PDRL senior players who aim to inspire the future generation of the sport.

The Rhinos’ aim this year will be to retain their title they won in last year’s dramatic Golden Point win over Wakefield Trinity when they dethroned the then reigning Champions, Warrington Wolves.
